Join Big Brothers Big Sisters for a workshop on trauma and resilience by BBBS Program Manager, Leanne Lytle. Learn about the groundbreaking Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) study, the power resilience plays in overcoming traumatic experiences, and the role you can play in fostering resilience in your Little.
Cost to register is $15 for community members. Current Bigs must register, but will receive a complimentary PROMO Code from their Match Support Specialist.
Lunch will be provided. Please arrive at 11:45 a.m. to get settled and grab lunch; the presentation will begin promptly at noon.We look forward to seeing you at the Libbie Mill Library!

Event to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters Services, Inc.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is accountable for enrolled youth (Littles) building social skills, increasing academic achievement, and creating healthy lifestyles. Services are provided through two core programs: - Community-Based Mentoring - traditional one-to-one mentoring during mentor/mentee free time pursuing activities Bigs & Littles both enjoy to achieve goals, roughly 9 hours/month.- Site-Based Mentoring - one-to-one mentoring that takes place once a week for an hour at school or at an after-school program, focused on achieving goals through activities Bigs & Littles both enjoy.Big Brothers Big Sisters Services, Inc. provides mentors throughout Greater Richmond, Tri-Cities, Hampton Roads, and the Greater Virginia Peninsula. *Please note - Hampton Roads services are only available to military dependent middle school youth through Operation Bigs.
